Where equipment is concerned, Andy Sneap says,

“Klotz cable gives me the confidence to play on big stages knowing we will not have any issues. Rock solid, transparent clean tone night after night, I couldn’t be happier with any other cable.”

Andy Sneap boasts a reputation like thunder in the international metal scene.

The British producer legend is appreciated far beyond the borders of the genre for his work in the studio and as a live musician.

Over the course of his career, Andy has lent his unique sound to many successful albums and genre classics.

Metal heavyweights such as Accept, Arch Enemy, Opeth and Megadeth are just some of the bands that have been able to secure Andy’s services in the course of their band history.

Since Andy Sneap played his first riffs on the guitar at the age of 7, his path into the music business was mapped out for him.

In 1985, in Nottingham, England, he became co-founder and guitarist of the band Sabbat, which quickly made a name for itself among metal fans thanks to Andy’s progressive and powerful songwriting and is now regarded as one of the most influential trash metal bands of all time.

After the band’s temporary break-up, Andy gained initial experience as a sound engineer and producer in Los Angeles before setting up Backstage Recording Studio in Nottingham in 1994.

A momentous decision, as Andy’s work at the mixing desk was to change the standard for mixing metal guitars forever.

Using modern production techniques, he was able to provide distorted guitars with a fresh, clean sound and high presence making the grainy production of 1980s meltal albums a thing of the past.

Success was not long in coming; Andy won a Grammy for the mix of the Opeth album Deliverance and was also nominated for Grammys for “The End of Heartache” by Killswitch Engage and “Endgame” by Megadeth.

Andy runs heavy metal in his veins. As you would expect, his engagements as a composer and musician have also been marked by success.

In 2008, he achieved chart placements in several countries as a guitarist with the band Hell.

His unofficial accession to the Metal Olympus followed in 2018 when he provided the riffs on Judas Priest’s “Firepower” tour and has been an integral part of the band’s live performances ever since.

To perfectly capture his transparent and dynamic trademark sound, on stage and in the studio, Andy Sneap relies on KLOTZ cables.
